Notice of Data Security Incident

Upper Dublin Family Dentistry (“UDFD”) values the privacy and security of our patients’ information. We are posting this notice to inform the public of a data security incident that may have involved patient information.

On May 13, 2025, we discovered that an unauthorized party gained access to our computer systems and deployed malicious software that encrypted our data. We immediately engaged a leading cybersecurity and forensic firm to investigate the incident, contain the threat, and restore system functionality. No ransom or payment was made to the responsible party.

The investigation determined that some patient data may have been accessed or viewed by an unauthorized party. This data may have included names, dates of birth, home addresses, phone numbers, and dental medical records. At this time, we have no evidence that any of this information has been misused.

We have taken immediate steps to improve our system security, including strengthening our web server infrastructure and implementing enhanced safeguards to prevent future incidents.
